It may be small, but there's no shortage of fun to be had in the great state of Delaware. There are many reasons why 'The First State’ of USA should be your first choice for a quick getaway.

Nature-lovers should head straight for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area – the perfect playground for activities like fishing, hiking, rock-climbing, canoeing and rafting.
Wondering how Delaware came to be the first state to ratify the US Constitution? Find out by touring the First State Heritage Park in Dover.
While you’re at the First State Heritage Park, be sure to swing by the Old State House, located on ‘The Green’ (Dover’s beautiful Green Historical District).
Just south of Dover Air Force Base, check out the Air Mobility Command Museum – home to one of the largest collections of restored US military cargo and tanker aircraft.
In Kent County, keep an eye out for quaint Amish buggies and old-timey Amish villages. You can even go shopping at the bountiful Amish farmers’ markets or shops of handcrafted Amish furniture.
Explore the lush gardens of the scenic Winterthur estate. It’s spread out around an opulent mansion which doubles as a museum of fine arts and artefacts from the 17th and 18th Centuries.

And while you're there, you can go cycling on one of the many biking trails that cut through the wilderness of the Cape Henlopen State Park.
