Lanikai Beach

This is the most picturesque beach of Oahu, Hawaii.
It is situated in the small beach town of Kailua, on the windward coast. The beach has very fine white sand and calm and clear water almost year around due to a small offshore reef, which makes it an excellent swimming spot.
With about half a mile of shoreline and huge open spaces, this is one the top beaches in Oahu for kayaking.

Kailua Beach

This crescent shaped three mile stretch of light colored sand and turquoise water definitely delivers an unadulterated package of fun and adventure to the tourists.
Owing to the steady trade winds, Kailua is one of the best beaches in Oahu for windsurfing and kite-surfing.
Kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, diving, swimming and boogie boarding are popular water activities practiced on this beach.
What makes this beach a perfect family picnic destination is the 30-acre beach park that has ample picnic tables, a volleyball court and a local eatery by the name “Island Snow’ which is also Obama’s favorite spot for Shave Ice in Hawaii.

Waikiki Beach

This is probably the most famous beach of Hawaii known for its fine white sand and strip of high rise hotels.
This 2-mile shoreline, a part of Honolulu itself, consists of 8 distinct beaches connected to each other by a boardwalk. Wakiki is always flooded with tourists, for water sports like canoe paddling, surfing, snorkeling, swimming, boogie boarding, sand combing; for romantic walks; for luxury resorts and shopping centres.

Laniakea Beach

Also known as the Turtle Beach, this north shore Oahu beach is one of the best spots to find the Hawaiian Green Sea turtles.
As the turtles prefer calmer waters when they come ashore to bask in the sun, summer is the best time to spot these giant water creatures.

Apart from resting on the beach, you may also spot the turtles surfacing from the ocean or sticking their heads out.

Sunset Beach

Situated outside Haleiwa Town past Waimea Bay, the long stretch of Sunset Beach is one of the favorite destinations of people visiting Hawaii.
The calm and crystal clear water is ideal for swimming and snorkeling.

However, winters bring along large waves and high winds making this home for many professional surfing competitions.

Makua Beach

One of the most secluded beaches of Oahu, Makua is a beautiful beach with spectacular features.

It has a picturesque coral reef and abundant marine life.
Situated on the far west side of Oahu, this secret beach is less frequented by tourists and hence one of the calm beaches of Oahu.
